The Financial Management Consultant is responsible for the ongoing review, monitoring, development, enhancement, and implementation of the Department’s agency/service provider accountability frameworks (divisional/program). This includes ensuring framework elements, agreements/contracts, reporting requirements, review and risk assessment tools are practical and align with modern comptrollership principles. The incumbent will conduct financial reviews and audits of external agencies to ensure appropriate use of public funds, develop and implement policy and processes for providing financial and management training and support, and assist in developing and implementing policies for systematic and cyclical audits based on coordinated and standardized risk assessments across divisions and programs.
