A leading automotive company is seeking a Financial Analyst to work in a hybrid model. The role involves collaborating with Finance and IT teams, executing process optimizations, and presenting insights to senior management. Candidates should have a strong educational background in data analytics or finance, and experience with AI tools. Hybrid - This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Oshawa Elevation Centre three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business].
The Financial Analyst role offers an exciting challenge, requiring adaptability and comfort with ambiguity. We’re looking for a strategic thinker who can manage complexity, prioritize effectively, and communicate with impact.
Work collaboratively with Finance, IT, and functional operations teams to execute transformation initiatives
Execute process transformation tasks to help enable process optimization, operational efficiency, and cost savings
Initiate and execute steps in the transformation project lifecycle through Discover, Design, Build, Test, and Implement
Collaborate with business partners to understand and document requirements, write user stories, and execute testing to enable specific outcomes with IT integrated delivery
Generate, aggregate, analyze, and interpret data, developing insights that support strategic decisions and enable business value
Assist with development of advanced analytics solutions and leverage AI to foster innovation and achieve elevated results
Assist and enable change management efforts to ensure adoption of transformation solutions by business users
Organize and lead workshops with key stakeholders to align on project goals and execution
Present business updates to GM Senior Management with clarity and confidence.
Identify key risks and drive timely resolution with a sense of urgency
Provide support and act as a backup for the Pricing/Invoicing Supervisor when needed
Provide support and act as a backup for the CONNECT Manager when needed
Post-Secondary education with a major in data analytics, finance, accounting and/or business-related degrees (MBA preferred)
Experience in applying AI tools (e.g., predictive analytics, automation platforms, Copilot, Power BI, Python-based models) to enhance financial productivity, streamline reporting, or improve forecasting accuracy
Critical thinking and inquisitive mind
Finance experience (Pricing/Incentives/Fleet preferred)
Understand the business (a businessperson first, has an operating mindset)
A proactive, problem-solving mindset and analytical abilities
Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to teamwork and partnerships
Strong oral and written communication skills (effective communications up/down/across the organization)
Highly proficient personal computer skills
Ability to prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within restricted time constraints (Fast/Responsive)
Self-directed, able to work with minimal supervision
Ability to network and collaborate cross-functionally
Comfortable in making verbal presentation to GM Senior Management
Ability to perform under tight deadlines (occasionally)
