Overview

Our client, Vrancor Group, is one of Canada’s leading integrated hotel construction, development, and management firms, headquartered in Hamilton, Ontario. With an extensive portfolio of hospitality properties and ongoing expansion in construction and land development, the company is recognized for its excellence, innovation, and long-term value creation.

We have been engaged to find a motivated and resourceful Financial Analyst to join their Finance team. This role will be critical in driving efficiency, enhancing reporting, and delivering valuable insights across Vrancor’s portfolio of hotels. The Financial Analyst will partner with operations and senior leadership to improve processes, support financial planning and analysis, and mentor team members.

Key Accountabilities
  • Create, update, automate, and streamline current financial processes to improve efficiency.
  • Design and implement a new monthly FP&A process within the company’s new ERP system.
  • Coach and mentor a team of financial analysts, fostering professional development.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis on a portfolio of hotels, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Deliver value-added monthly analysis to hotel General Managers to support decision-making.
  • Create consolidated divisional-level reporting and present findings to the Director and CFO.
  • Assist in drafting standard operating procedures for accounting and finance roles across the Hotel Group.
  • Leverage ERP and reporting tools to maximize the value of financial data; NetSuite experience is an asset.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or corporate finance; hospitality or real estate sector experience considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to streamline and automate processes within ERP and reporting environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelling.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey insights to both financial and operational leaders.
  • Leadership experience with a track record of coaching or mentoring team members.
  • A professional designation (CPA, CFA, or in progress) is considered an asset.
