Are you a technically skilled and self-motivated professional looking for an exciting opportunity to support cutting-edge wireless network infrastructure? Join our team and play a key role in ensuring high availability and performance across cellular sites and transport facilities. We are looking for Field Technicians in Nova Scotia, Toronto, and British Columbia to help us optimize wireless network systems.

Responsibilities
  • Network Operations & Troubleshooting
    • Respond to network trouble reports (IMT) with efficient diagnostics and repairs to meet service restoration goals.
    • Work alongside NOC, TAC, Real Estate, Engineering, and Field Ops teams to resolve faults and maintain service continuity.
    • Perform acceptance tests on new equipment to ensure deployment meets design and performance specifications.
    • Contribute to incident reports and service-level improvements through root cause analysis.
  • Maintenance & Optimization
    • Execute preventive maintenance routines to ensure optimal network performance.
    • Participate in network build, upgrades, and optimization initiatives, including walk testing and performance verification (RSSI, transmit levels, dropped call analysis).
    • Investigate and mitigate in-building UL RSSI interference issues and identify safety concerns.
    • Implement work orders for 5G, GSM, UMTS, LTE, and transport systems while minimizing network disruptions.
    • Commission and validate the performance of microwave, fibre, and optical transmission systems.
    • Complete new build activity and acceptance inspections checklists.
  • Inventory & Documentation
    • Maintain accurate documentation, including site records, as-builts, and incident tickets.
    • Manage tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory for field and lab work.
    • Handle administrative duties like mileage logs, time sheets, expense reports, and data updates.
  • On-Call & Field Work
    • Provide rotational on-call support, including shift work and overtime as required.
    • Access remote or challenging sites using off-road vehicles.
    • Deploy mobile generators during power outages to maintain service.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Diploma or Certificate in Electronics or equivalent experience in telecommunications.
  • At least 3 years of experience in wireless network support and troubleshooting (microwave systems, GSM / UMTS / LTE / 5G).
  • Strong understanding of RF systems, fibre optics, SONET (OC3–OC192), and TCP / IP networking.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Cisco / Milan switches, RTUs (TLAN), HVAC systems, and fibre terminals.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in field troubleshooting environments.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including rotational on-call shifts and night shifts.
  • Comfortable working with remote or seasonal sites and using off-road vehicles for site access.
