The Mechanical Cutting division at Sandvik Mining specializes in advanced underground mining technology, delivering high-performance cutting systems for production and roadway development. This includes a range of equipment such as continuous miners, bolter miners, borer miners, and related cutting systems designed to enhance productivity, safety, and reliability. With expertise in precision engineering and long-term collaboration with key mining partners, Mechanical Cutting plays a key role in driving operational efficiency on major projects such as the BHP Jansen Potash Project.
The BHP Jansen Project is a world‑class underground potash mine east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This major development will produce millions of tonnes of potash annually, supplying a significant portion of the global market while using modern, sustainable mining technologies. This position offers the chance to work on the high‑profile Jansen project with modern equipment, strong safety standards, and a collaborative team environment. Selected candidates may also have the exceptional opportunity for hands‑on training at Sandvik’s factory in Austria, gaining international experience. This training typically involves a stay of approximately 3 months.
