Key Responsibilities
  • Lead archaeological field crews
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Participate in all aspects of archaeological surveys and excavations
  • Contribute to and author archaeological reports
  • Assist with artifact analysis and curation
  • Grow your skills across field, office, and lab settings to take on increased responsibilities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Archaeology or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in consulting archaeology in BC
  • Field Director designation from the Archaeology Branch
  • In-depth knowledge of BC archaeology and the Heritage Conservation Act
  • Ability to work in varying terrains and weather conditions
  • Willingness to travel/work throughout the province
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean record
Physical Requirements

Frequent standing, walking/hiking, bending, kneeling, and lifting are part of this role.
