Job Description
Brief Overview

The Field Coordinator provides overall support to the project and assists the field team with overall project performance including costs, schedule, quality and project status.

Responsibilities
  • Creates, maintains, and executes the project plan and schedule; and ensures compliance with budget.
  • Create a team atmosphere within project teams, inclusive of subcontractors and trade labour.
  • Supervises and coordinates all construction activities as directed by the Site Superintendent.
  • Creates site specific plans and procedures; ensures the implementation of CCM’s Safety Program to create a safe work environment throughout the jobsite; adheres to the safety and record keeping requirements; integrates CCM’s Safety Program in all site‑specific plans and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Ensures project materials and workmanship meet the project Quality Standards and Design requirements.
  • Obtains necessary information from engineers, designers, inspectors, municipal/provincial authorities and owners.
  • Advises the Project Manager and Site Superintendent of potential problems, work interferences or schedule difficulties.
  • Maintains the project’s Daily Job Diary.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials.
  • Ensure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations.
  • Establish, monitor, maintain and update construction work schedules.
  • Prepare contract documents and review and evaluate tenders for construction projects.
  • Responsible for Concrete Take-offs and monitoring concrete progress regarding the structure.
Qualifications
Required
  • Post‑secondary education in Engineering/ Construction degree/ diploma
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ of industry experience working for a construction management company, general contractor or equivalent.
  • Previous experience on commercial /Industrial/ residential construction building projects.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and company operations specifically construction specifications, building materials, methods, and procedures.
  • Thorough understanding of construction terminology and construction codes (OBC).
  • Technical Savvy – Exceptional working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Well organized and excellent Site Administration Management
  • Ability to handle pressure and can manage shifting priorities
  • Well established communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse group of teams (subtrades, clients, inspectors, consultants, colleagues, engineers, etc.)
Desired
  • Possess a valid Driver License
  • Current and up to date Health & Safety certifications
  • Can be a Safety Leader
  • Experience working with Procore and Microsoft SharePoint
  • Understand the High Standards of Quality Assurance
  • Be willing to “Do what it takes”
  • Can Take control of situations and follow them through to completion.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $62,500 - $90,000 based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
