Job description

Our Rocky View branch is looking for an exceptional individual to join our service department as a Field Agriculture Heavy Equipment Technician for our Agriculture Division (John Deere).

Overview

Field-based technical role supporting agriculture equipment in Alberta, focusing on diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of robust agricultural machinery.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair and maintain all systems on agricultural equipment such as tractors, hay tools, and other ag and turf implements, including engine, transmission, electrical, hydraulic, air conditioning, guidance and precision ag systems among others.
  • Provide mechanical support from the field and travel to customers requiring diagnosis and repair.
  • Repair, service and/or diagnose agriculture equipment at the customer site if needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections, including fluid and filter changes, testing of equipment, and adjustments for in-field optimization.
  • Recondition pre-owned equipment.
  • Accurately record field reports for the service writer for all work done, including warranty invoicing and records.
  • Maintain communication with internal support to quickly diagnose problems and provide solutions.
  • Develop relationships with customers in different communities in Alberta and build business in those communities.
