Overview

As a Farm Equipment Technician, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of a wide range of agricultural machinery. This role requires a combination of mechanical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic. You'll be working both in the shop and in the field to ensure all farm equipment is running efficiently, especially during critical planting and harvesting seasons. This is a full-time, hands-on role that's perfect for someone with a passion for mechanics and agriculture.

Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine preventative maintenance and complex repairs on various farm equipment, including tractors, combines, seeders, sprayers, and other heavy-duty machinery.
  • Welding and Fabrication: Utilize welding and fabrication skills to repair or create custom parts for equipment, ensuring durability and functionality.
  • Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Use critical thinking and diagnostic tools to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Develop and execute effective repair plans to get machinery back in operation quickly.
  • Operation & Control: Safely and proficiently operate farm equipment as needed for testing, repairs, and general farm operations.
  • Semi-Truck Driving: Operate semi-trucks for transporting equipment, parts, or goods. A Class A license is required, but the company will assist the right candidate in obtaining it.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
Qualifications & Skills
