Job description
Overview

Logan Lake Health Centre seeks a full-time family practitioner at its primary care clinic. Alternately, multiple part-time practitioners making up a full-time schedule could be considered. Logan Lake is a rural community for which rural incentives apply to a practitioner who works full-time in the primary care practice. The appointments scheduled include telephone, onsite, or virtual methods depending on the practitioners’ discretion and patients’ needs. Logan Lake is close to Kamloops, BC where tertiary and specialty services can be easily utilized. The EMR is Profile. Office equipment is provided with the practice. There are lease and contract agreements in place that address equipment, supply needs, office space, and MOA support. Please inquire further to discuss specific details within these agreements.

In general, there is a multidisciplinary team within Logan Lake Health Center that includes a Family Nurse Practitioner Monday to Friday, a Registered Nurse Monday to Friday, a Laboratory Technician each morning, and an X-ray Technician on four mornings per week. Additionally, regular outreach services are provided by Mental Health from Merritt, BC, a Dietician/Nutritionist onsite one day per month, a Respiratory Therapist onsite one day per month, and a Public Health Nurse/Immunization Clinic onsite one day per month.

Overall, Logan Lake is a growing, progressive and family-oriented community. The town is situated in the heart of the Highland Valley which is a pristine natural environment of mountains, lakes and forests. Logan Lake offers numerous community and sports activities. The town site has an ice rink active with public and club skating, hockey and curling, and a public gym offering various exercise facilities. The Provincial Campground on the lake right in the center of town is one of the most popular in the province. The town is immediately surrounded by 36 kms of cross-country ski trails. The greater surrounding area is known for more than 25 lakes, world-class fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and snow-mobiling and ice-fishing. Getting here: Logan Lake is located on Highway 97C in the BC Interior, approximately 52 kms southwest of Kamloops, 45 kms northwest of Merritt, and 45 kms north of Ashcroft.

Estimated Remuneration $300,000 +/- per annum

Benefits and Incentives

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including: Retention Premium 8.93%, Retention Flat Fee $13,831, Relocation Funding Available $9,000 - $15,000 based on move location, Recruitment Incentive $10,000. Other Benefits/Incentives: Rural incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at time of offer. Candidates with a BC or Canada student loan may be eligible for loan forgiveness programs.
