We are seeking a dedicated full-scope Family Physician to provide comprehensive primary and urgent care at the Texada Island Health Centre. Serving a population of about 1,100, this is a unique solo practice opportunity in a beautiful rural island community. This position offers a negotiable start date, though a prompt start is preferred. Your commitment will provide critical, long-term stability for this appreciative community.
Texada Island is the largest of the Northern Gulf Islands, located between the Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island, with a population of around 1,100 residents. The island offers a peaceful lifestyle with amenities including grocery stores, banking, a 9-hole golf course, tennis courts, and various outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking. It is accessible by boat, plane, or ferry via a 35‑minute BC Ferries route from Powell River, which provides full medical and recreational services nearby.
