Banquet Head Houseperson (Head Houseperson) - Relocation to Jasper, AB • Full-time

Pay: From $18.59 per hour

Responsibilities

• Ensure post conference tear down and preparation for following groups, reporting room deficiencies to supervisor.
• Support department; assisting food & beverage outlets in such ways as setting buffets; staging events & theme décor.
• Build, set, serve and tear down of coffee breaks.
• Review banquet event orders to ensure the proper set-ups are in place.
• Communicate, anticipate & cater to the every need of group conveners and members for the duration of their stay; ensuring they are comfortable and all expectations are exceeded.
• Assist with coaching and training the Banquet Houseperson team.
• Support in house audio visual suppliers (PSAV) where required.
• Liaise with the Conference Services/Catering Department to ensure events are executed successfully.
• Liaise with onsite meeting planner to ensure clients’ needs are being met.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous food & beverage leadership experience preferred.
• Previous banquet or convention houseperson experience an asset.
• Food & Beverage training and experience an asset.
• Proserve Certification required.
• Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
