Job summary

A leading event services company in Toronto is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Worker to provide custodial services across various locations. Responsibilities include cleaning food and beverage areas, offices, and washrooms, as well as performing minor repairs. The ideal candidate should have WHMIS certification (or willingness to obtain), strong teamwork and communication skills, and be available for flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • WHMIS certification required or willingness to obtain.
  • Prior custodial, janitorial, or maintenance experience in a facility or hospitality environment is an asset.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and prepare Legends food and beverage equipment and locations for events.
  • Clean and maintain Legends offices, locker rooms, and washrooms.
  • Ensure all assigned locations are stocked with appropriate cleaning supplies.
  • Perform waste management duties, including collection and disposal.
  • Complete small repairs and touch-up painting as directed.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Follow all safety and operational procedures.

Facilities & Maintenance Worker

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for providing quality custodial and janitorial services to Legends Hospitality locations throughout Rogers Centre. This role helps ensure all Legends food and beverage spaces, offices, locker rooms, and washrooms are clean, safe, and event-ready at all times.

Compensation
Hourly wage: $18.00

Role Duties & Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare Legends food and beverage equipment and locations for events.
  • Clean and maintain Legends offices, locker rooms, and washrooms.
  • Ensure all assigned locations are stocked with appropriate cleaning supplies.
  • Perform waste management duties, including collection, sorting where required, and disposal.
  • Complete small repairs and touch-up painting as directed.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks on time.
  • Follow all safety, operational procedures as trained.
Skills & Abilities
  • Solid organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player and also as a self-motivated individual contributor.
  • Fluent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely with cleaning products and equipment.
Knowledge, Education, & Experience
