A rare and exciting opportunity to lead AECOM’s UK Façade Engineering Team from our London office. This will be a highly visible role within our organisation with opportunities for growth technically and operationally.
We are a close-core team of 10 façade engineers based in London, collaborating with a broader network of specialists within the AECOM family. The team is delivering the design of various projects in the UK, Ireland, and beyond across sectors including Healthcare, Residential, Commercial, Transport, Sports, Mixed Use and Retrofit. Projects are often delivered as part of a multi-discipline AECOM design team with Sustainability, Fire, Structures, MEP, Lighting, Acoustics, Energy, Cost and Project Management consultants and specialists. Our team also delivers work to external clients as a direct appointment.
To be successful in this role, you will assume general responsibilities for façade consultancy input to a wide range of clients and projects, and you will proactively contribute to the growth of AECOM’s Façade Engineering team’s capabilities.
You will lead the Façade Engineering UK team for AECOM, reporting directly to the Director of Specialisms. The discipline operates alongside other Specialism disciplines, and you will have your own Façade Engineering performance targets and a collective Specialism Group target. The Group meets once a month to collaborate and report on operations.
Your role will provide business strategy, people leadership, and technical oversight for the Façade Engineering Discipline. You will be responsible for the organisational structure of your team, the technical growth and capabilities of the team, recruitment, workload management, and pastoral and HR matters. The team must remain profitable, and you are expected to contribute to work winning.
