About The Venue
Canada Life Place, which opened in October 2002, features a seating capacity of 9,090 for hockey and ice events and accommodates over 10,000 guests for concerts, family shows, and other major events. It is a premier destination for fans, artists, and athletes alike.
The Event Manager will manage every aspect of their assigned events from the advance planning stages through the end of the event; ensure events run smoothly; coordinate communication between event staff / security / contractors and delegate assignments; be responsible for and ensure overall customer and lessee satisfaction and experience. This individual will also work directly with all departments to provide a best-in-class customer experience for all events and daily operations. This role requires excellent communication skills to deliver a memorable experience to a diverse group of guests and clients.
Salary
This role pays an annual salary of $50,000-$60,000 CAD

This position will remain open until October 17, 2025.
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. Employees in this role will constantly be in a leadership role; this requires directing others either verbally or in writing to complete tasks in the prescribed time frame. This position also requires constant use of interpersonal skills including ability to direct / motivate / inform staff and foster collaboration, being able to recognize and resolve conflicts, being able to openly communicate in writing and verbally with clients and co-workers.
While performing the essential functions of the job, constantly moves about the facility and event site before, during and after events to service clients and supervise staff; may be required to lift or move items up 50lbs; constantly communicates via telephone, email and in-person with others to exchange accurate information.
The essential functions of this position are usually performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud during events.
