Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program and possess a current Certificate of Competence.
• Minimum of one year of recent surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Possess recent experience in various surgical conditions and care of chest tubes.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to surgical patients as per practice standards.
• Follow hospital policies and procedures.

Skills

Independently perform nursing skills

Maintain privacy and confidentiality

Experience in surgical nursing

Basic Cardiac Life Support certified

Knowledge of urology, gynecology, respiratory, orthopedic surgery

Education

Graduate of a diploma or baccalaureate nursing program
