We are proud of the longstanding relationships we have with our clients and delivery of exceptional services on a global scale.

We have a significant track-record of projects located in Australia, Asia, Africa and South America. With over 100 years of experience and offices globally, we work on projects which are diverse both geographically and technically.

The Role

With a growing pipeline of exciting projects across Australia and internationally, we are seeking an Environmental Geochemist to join our Australian team. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and collaborative group, contributing technical expertise to a variety of environmental and mine waste-related projects.

Reporting to the Principal Engineers, the Environmental Geochemist will support projects through all phases of development, from early‑stage assessments through to closure. Responsibilities include the planning, execution, and interpretation of geochemical investigations and studies, including characterisation of mine waste, water quality assessments, and predictive modelling of environmental impacts. The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver high‑quality outcomes. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to build on an existing project workload and potentially grow the geochemistry team in the medium to long‑term.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will be degree‑qualified in Environmental Science, Geochemistry, Geology, or a related field, with a solid understanding of geochemical processes and their relevance to mining and environmental projects. You will be self‑motivated, technically strong, and capable of working independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.

To be successful in the role you will need:

  • A minimum of 10 to 15+ years’ experience in environmental geochemistry, preferably within the mining or consulting sectors;
  • Experience in the design, execution, and interpretation of geochemical characterisation programs (e.g. static and kinetic testing);
  • Technical expertise in Acid Rock Drainage and related fields.
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills;
  • A sound understanding of environmental legislation and permitting frameworks;
  • Excellent technical writing and reporting skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines;
  • The ability to work independently, and as part of a larger project team.
  • A willingness to travel for fieldwork and project support within Australia and internationally;
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Geochemistry, Geology, or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
  • A home base in Perth, Brisbane or Melbourne is preferred, but not essential.
