Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Team Lead to oversee the daily operations of a multidisciplinary Mechanical and Electrical Engineering department. This role blends technical expertise, project leadership, and people management, offering the opportunity to shape strategy, optimize operations, and mentor a team of professionals. The successful candidate will drive innovation, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and align engineering initiatives with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership

• Lead and inspire a team of 15 mechanical and electrical engineers, technicians, and maintenance professionals.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop talent, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.
• Provide clear direction, delegate responsibilities effectively, and deliver constructive coaching and feedback.

2. Operational Management

• Oversee mechanical and electrical systems and maintenance across the facility.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
• Uphold safety, efficiency, and compliance standards in all daily operations.

3. Technical Expertise

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Research and introduce emerging technologies to enhance department capabilities.

4. Project Management

• Lead capital projects, including equipment upgrades and new installations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals align with business priorities.
• Manage project budgets, risks, and timelines to deliver on schedule and within scope.

5. Cost Optimization

• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in engineering operations.
• Monitor and optimize energy usage for improved efficiency.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to deliver value.

6. Collaboration & Communication

• Act as the key liaison between engineering, operations, production, and facilities teams.
• Translate technical information into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Build strong partnerships with consultants, suppliers, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of leadership experience in engineering within manufacturing, industrial, or commercial sectors.
• Proven success managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong technical background in mechanical and electrical systems design, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects from initiation to completion.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Valid passport with ability to travel internationally (20% to USA and Europe).
