Ford Motor Company is seeking a Mechanical Technician responsible for disassembling returned engines and performing failure analysis in Windsor, Canada. The role involves documenting findings, identifying defects, and collaborating with engineering teams. Successful candidates must have a college diploma in Automotive, relevant certification, and preferably 3-5 years of experience. This position requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and English fluency, with opportunities for shifts.
Responsible for disassembling returned customer engines and performing detailed failure analysis to determine root causes of issues. Duties include documenting component wear, identifying defects or damage, preparing detailed reports, and working closely with engineering and quality teams to support continuous improvement. Requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and familiarity with internal combustion engines. Successful candidate for this role will be a member of the Salary Bargaining Unit-Local 240.
