Overview

Youth Habilitation Quinte Inc.’s Employment Ontario Employment Services Program, known as Career Edge, requires an Employment Counsellor to provide services in its Campbellford location. This is a full-time contract position effective from October 2025 to October 2026.

Responsibilities

• As an Employment Counsellor, be part of the Employment Services team and guide clients to successful outcomes including employment, training, education and/or entrepreneurship.
• Assist clients through the intake process and determine their needs, communicating in an open, helpful and engaging tone with a focus on empowering each client through the job search process.
• Manage a caseload of clients and collaborate across all departments, complete data entry, follow Ministry guidelines and refer clients to community supports and services.
• Strong case management skills including entering accurate case notes and maintaining organized files.
• Effective time management skills to meet timelines and targets by prioritizing tasks.
• Knowledge of the local labour market and labour legislation.
• Strong computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, EOIS-CaMs, Email, Databases).

Qualifications

• College Diploma in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years of employment counselling experience is preferred.
