Your Role & Impact

Under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in addressing the following challenges:

Main responsibilities

The successful Electromechanical Technician will work under the Maintenance Supervisor as part of a team responsible for optimizing machinery output by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Repair, install, assemble, maintain and test industrial equipment (industrial and stationary engines, pumps and compressors (NH3), automated and robotic systems, electrical and electronic controls, power tools, fans and blowers, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems).
  • Locate, determine and diagnose malfunctions in the plant and perform repairs.
  • Plan work ahead to increase efficiency in repairs.
  • Report any specific findings, known problems or delays to the supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor.
What You Bring to the Role
  • A high school diploma and vocational training or program are usually required.
  • Relevant manufacturing experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
  • Successfully complete internal testing.
  • Relevant industrial experience preferred, experience in troubleshooting and repair.
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of HACCP/SQF standards is an asset.
