Qualifications

Position Title: EIT / Project Analyst - PMO Group

Division: Dumas Contracting Ltd.

Department: Project Management Office (PMO)

Location: Timmins

Reports To: Manager – Project Management Office, DUMAS CONTRACTING LTD.

Specific Duties And Responsibilities
Business Intelligence
  • Engage departments to collaboratively review processes to record, monitor, control and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Review each KPI’s data collection, storage, manipulation and transformation methods and processes.
  • Ensure data is collected in a standardized, validated, structured fashion for continuous, live, self-serve reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to automate tasks, eliminate duplication of effort, reduce non-value-added tasks, communicate and distribute information.
  • Implement changes required to properly collect and store the data and capture any identified opportunities to bring each KPI process to its entitlement.
  • Support the development and maintenance of Power BI reports for project dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Work with the Business Analyst to ensure accurate data collection and validation for Power BI dashboards.
  • Assist in reporting project schedule, cost, and performance metrics in Power BI. Track compliance and usage of the revised processes, standards and guidelines and reporting applications.
Scheduling
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project work breakdown structures (WBS).
  • Engage project leadership and project reporting to understand the progress of work on site.
  • Update and analyze project schedules to track progress, identify potential delays, and communicate schedule risks to project teams. Assist in critical path analysis and resource allocation to improve project scheduling efficiency.
  • Support integration of cost and schedule data to enhance Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting.
  • Report on Schedule Metrics including Earned Value, Schedule Variance, Cost Variance, % Complete, S-Curves for work items and identification of critical paths.
  • Identify and communicate risks to schedule and off-plan performance.
  • Publish and distribute updated Gantt schedules and metrics on a periodic basis.
Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Establish and maintain a code of accounts that align with project work breakdown structures for project accounting.
  • Collaborate with site leadership, estimating and finance to build quarterly long-term financial forecasts for projects.
  • Assist in tracking project budgets, analyzing cost performance, and forecasting short-term and long-term financial impacts. Support cost variance analysis and provide recommendations for budget adjustments.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving financial models for project cost forecasting.
  • Identify and communicate financial risks and off-plan performance.
  • Utilize financial modelling tools to forecast expected variances, risk, and rates of return.
Contract Management
  • Understand contractual requirements for project controls, change management, and project execution.
  • Engage project leadership and project reporting to understand the progress of work on site.
  • Develop and issue contract change requests to communicate changes in the work or contract.
  • Ensure systems are in place to facilitate communication and reporting that support a timely contract change management process.
  • Identify and communicate contractual risks and contractual changes.
