Summary

U+ Toastmasters' Youth Volunteer Connects Program is funded by Canada Service Corps, a national movement that empowers youth aged 12 - 30 to gain experience and build important skills while giving back to their community.

What you’ll be doing

Are you passionate about creativity, social media, and community engagement? Join U+ Toastmasters as a Volunteer and make a positive impact on the community while promoting our inspiring public speaking and leadership programs!

What You’ll Do
  • Design and Develop Educational Programs: Plan, coordinate, and implement curriculum and learning activities tailored to the needs of the target audience (e.g., students, educators, community members).
  • Evaluate Program Effectiveness: Monitor, assess, and improve educational initiatives by collecting data, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate Logistics and Scheduling: Manage scheduling, resource allocation, instructor assignments, and venue or virtual platform logistics for program delivery.
  • Support Educators and Facilitators: Provide training, resources, and ongoing support to instructors or staff involved in program delivery.
  • Liaise with Stakeholders: Collaborate with schools, community organizations, government agencies, or internal departments to ensure program alignment with educational goals.
  • Ensure Compliance and Quality Standards: Adhere to institutional, accreditation, or funding guidelines while maintaining high-quality educational content and delivery.
  • Manage Budgets and Resources: Oversee program budgets, including purchasing materials, managing grants or funding, and ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Promote Programs: Assist with outreach and communication efforts, including marketing, enrollment, and public relations to increase program visibility and participation.

This is a volunteer position, ideal for students, creatives, or anyone looking to get involved in meaningful work while sharpening their marketing skills.

  • Age between 12 - 30
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Commitment to completing basic training
  • Fluency in English
  • Successful Vulnerable Sector Check (required if you’re over 18)
  • Bonus Skills: Previous experience, Fluency or high proficiency in another language besides English
