Education and Prevention Coordinator (Flamborough, Ontario)

Organization: Responsible Gambling Council (RGC)

Location: Elements Casino Flamboro PlaySmart Centre; travel to other nearby sites within the region. This is a part-time role.

RGC is a leading international authority on responsible gambling, providing insights to industry stakeholders through research and prevention programs. RGC manages and operates PlaySmart Centres in Ontario, offering education about gambling and connections to counselling and support services for players and those affected by gambling.

In this role you will…
  • Increase awareness of the PlaySmart Centre Program
  • Engage with players and those close to them, answer questions, and direct them to available services
  • Educate patrons on gambling to support informed choices
  • Plan and deliver education through activities and initiatives to promote positive play habits
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with casino staff
  • Record and manage relevant data

We are looking for…
  • Experience and/or education in social work, social services, adult education, health promotions, or a related field
  • Ability to work during operating hours including day shifts, evenings/nights, and weekends
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • High level of empathy and understanding in sensitive situations
  • Ability to travel to different sites across the region
  • Alignment with RGC’s Core Values: Humanity, Integrity, Courage and Ingenuity
  • Experience in the Gaming Industry is a plus
  • Second language proficiency is a valuable asset
  • Valid G Class Driver’s License required
