A local government agency in Canada seeks a General Purpose Ambassador to direct residents and visitors during the Downtown Dig. Responsibilities include engaging the public, creating interactive activities, and representing tourism initiatives. Candidates must be students enrolled in a post-secondary program, possess strong communication skills, and be able to work evenings and weekends. This position offers 35 hours per week from May to August at an hourly rate of $2.54. Eligibility includes returning to school in the fall.
The primary function is to help direct residents and visitors during the Downtown Dig.
Downtown and Visitor Ambassador individuals will be interacting with the public and providing directions and information about the reconstruction of Grand River Street North.
The Ambassadors will also assist in planning and executing interactive events during the summer months, with a number of these events relating to the ongoing construction.
Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary diploma/degree program; preferably in the study areas of Marketing, Tourism, Commerce, or Communications.

You must be enrolled in a post‑secondary Institution and returning to school in the fall in order to qualify for this position with the exception of completing a final co‑op term.
