Job description
Overview

Document Controller | £35,000 - £40,000 | London | M&E | Permanent

On a live construction site, we all know that nothing progresses without information flowing in the right direction at the right time.

Drawings, data, timesheets, O&Ms – you don’t need me to tell you; if they’re not controlled properly, the project comes to a grinding halt. That’s where this role comes in.

We’re looking for a Document Controller who knows the true value of their work and strives to ensure the whole team always has the right information at their fingertips. You’ll be the one who keeps the registers straight, the inductions organised, and the data clear enough for managers to actually use, rather than battle to understand.

This isn’t back-office admin work. You will be based on site in Surrey, working on a tasty little healthcare project as part of the delivery team, reporting directly to the Planning Manager.

Excel and Dalux will be your best friends ideally but we are happy to speak to any Document Controllers with at least a couple of years under their belt, using any recognised EDMS system

Responsibilities

This role is going to suit somebody who:

  • Enjoys making sense of complex information
  • Has the confidence to train others and keep systems tight
  • Wants to see the fruit of their labours through real project outcomes
  • Can demonstrate proven experience in a Document Control capacity in a construction environment
Qualifications

If you want to keep the wheels turning on this Surrey based project on behalf of a rapidly rising specialist contractor, this could be the one for you.
