Major Welding is a welding fabrication shop which dispatches 30+ welders with mobile rigs to various sites. Our focus is delivering top quality, clean work on tight timelines. We are looking for a Dispatcher with strong communication, organizational and office skills to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule and dispatch rig welders and field crews to site
  • Coordinate shop work, mobile work, shutdowns, and project timelines
  • Front reception, answering incoming calls and emails
  • Set up jobs and new customer profiles in Service Fusion
  • Maintain and monitor WCB and keep certification records current
  • Track and direct equipment, trucks, tools and consumables
  • Order/purchase materials and schedule shipping
  • Input job tickets and contractor bills
  • Collect specific details from customers related to dispatch requirements
  • Support overall operational planning as project loads shift and priorities change
Requirements
  • Someone with strong scheduling and organizational skills
  • A direct and efficient communicator
  • A problem-solver who can pivot quickly and be resourceful
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Previous experience in trade industry — welding, fabrication, construction, mechanical, manufacturing, etc.
  • Comfortable with dispatching programs such as Service Fusion or Service Titan
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Word and MS Projects
