Overview

Director and Lead for the Bus Transit Engineering discipline, responsible for shaping the strategic direction, growth, and technical excellence of the bus transit engineering team across Canada. This leadership role combines business development, client engagement, and defining technical orientations of the discipline. Part of the Rail, Transit Systems and Telecoms Practice, developing the Bus Transit Engineering strategy to unlock market opportunities and deliver best value to customers.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the vision and roadmap for the Bus Transit Engineering discipline, aligned with corporate goals and market trends.
  • Practice Development: Build and lead a high-performing team of engineers and specialists, fostering innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
  • Client Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with public agencies, municipalities, and private sector clients; act as a trusted advisor and thought leader.
  • Project Oversight: Provide executive oversight on major bus transit projects, ensuring delivery excellence in planning, design, construction, and integration.
  • Technical Governance: Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in bus transit infrastructure.
  • Business Development: Support proposal development, win strategies, and pursuit of new opportunities in the transit sector nationwide.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Civil, Structural, Architecture, Mechanical & Electrical teams for integrated project delivery.
  • Risk and Performance Management: Oversee risk mitigation strategies, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
