Overview

Director of Finance & Corporate Services — London & Middlesex Community Housing (LMCH). Reports to the Chief Executive Officer. This is a full-time permanent non-bargaining unit position. Posting date July 17, 2024; closing date July 24, 2024.

LMCH seeks a passionate leader to oversee the development and implementation of a long-term financial plan for LMCH-owned and operated sites and future real estate development opportunities. The ideal candidate partners with the CEO to set and execute the organization’s vision, mission, and strategic goals through finance and corporate services (procurement and IT). You will develop actionable business strategies and plans aligned with short- and long-term objectives, lead financial and corporate services planning, and support successful delivery of strategic aims.

You will build and maintain relationships across all departments and with external stakeholders, mentor a high-performing team, and lead change initiatives related to financial growth and organizational development. A commitment to public sector service and strong character will be evident in your experience and goals.

3. Education, Experience & Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree in Business Management, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • CPA designation or equivalent required
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in finance, administration, and corporate services management at a senior level
  • Experience leading change initiatives; public/not-for-profit sector is preferred
  • Knowledge of Canadian GAAP and PSAB; familiarity with regulatory requirements (federal/provincial)
  • Knowledge of community housing regeneration, Residential Tenancies Act (2006), and Housing Services Act (2011) would be an asset
  • Property services knowledge is an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, ERP/finance software, payroll systems; Yardi Voyageur 7S is an asset
  • Valid driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle and adequate insurance

6. Salary & Benefits

Target salary range: $101,663.73 to $130,189.79 per annum. Comprehensive health benefits and a defined benefit pension plan are provided.
