A leading tech staffing firm in Toronto is seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer with extensive experience in building web banking platforms, particularly for small businesses. The role involves contributing to the development of a new retail web banking application, leveraging technologies like React, Node.js, and more. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days on-site per week, with a competitive contract duration until July 2026 and potential for extension or FTE conversion.
Location Address: Hybrid – 3 days/week at 100 Yonge Street, 3rd day optional for location (nearest office in Mississauga, Scarborough or downtown). Contract Duration: ASAP to 07/31/2026 – approx. 7 months. Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE. Schedule Hours: 9am‑5pm Monday‑Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week.
Business group: Client Engineering - Mobile and Web – team is working on new Canadian retail web banking platform (new Scotia online experience). Project: Business Banking Squad – focused on building web banking capabilities for Small Business accounts (in comparison to Retail accounts). It’s for customers who run a small business as opposed to a personal account. Very similar features but since the web platform (Orion) is in its early stages, we are still lacking many features that they cannot perform their daily banking tasks on.
Education in technical field (i.e. computer science, computer engineering).
Someone who can hit the ground running and start contributing right away, require minimal hand holding; strong full‑stack developer who can demonstrate expertise in the tech stack listed and hit the ground running.
1 round – MS Teams video interview with HM and potentially with leads – 1–1.15 hours – video – with live coding test with screen sharing (30 minutes of interview) use case to develop code with multiple phases so depends on ability to get through each level – coding in React.
