Job description

This is with one of our Banking client.

We are seeking a Data Quality Analyst with strong expertise in data profiling, rule design, and analysis to support enterprise-wide data governance and reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate will partner closely with business stakeholders, data consumers, and technology teams to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of critical datasets. This role requires hands‑on technical skills in SQL, Python, and Excel, as well as strong problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Perform data profiling and design data quality (DQ) rules to monitor and improve data accuracy.
  • Conduct UAT testing, troubleshoot issues, and partner with technology teams to resolve defects.
  • Liaise with data consumers and business stakeholders to capture requirements and validate data outputs.
  • Support management reporting by analyzing data quality results and preparing insights.
  • Participate in program/project meetings, ensuring alignment with broader data governance objectives.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of recurring data issues and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Design and optimize queries for data validation, reporting, and control assurance.
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data controls, data profiling, query design, and pattern recognition.
  • Strong hands‑on skills in SQL, Python, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with JIRA or similar tools for issue tracking and defect management.
  • Strong data analysis, problem solving, and root cause analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with business stakeholders and technology teams.
  • Excellent communication and management reporting skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills & Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience with R programming.
  • Prior exposure to data governance frameworks or regulatory programs.
