Use integrated pest management (IPM) techniques, satellite imagery and GPS technology to document notes from the field that include weeds, insects, diseases and other yield‑limiting threats.

Represent Central Ontario FS on the road and in our growers' fields. Be curious, ask questions, and get the most out of your summer! We provide you the necessary tools to have a great summer while growing your knowledge and experience of the agriculture industry.

Requirements
  • Normally requires an individual currently enrolled in an agriculture‑related college or university program, who possesses a basic understanding of production agriculture.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license (Full G), a satisfactory driving record, and the ability to travel independently as needed.
  • Occasionally exposed or required to work in extreme conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.).
  • Must be able to walk crop fields and conduct visual inspections of crops.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
  • May be required to work extended hours, particularly during peak seasons.
