Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Sales and Corporate Development, this role will serve as the internal manager, responsible for all Caldwell Investment Management client communications and brand positioning through our relationship management (CRM) platform. The CRM Developer & Business Development Associate will seek to enhance the effectiveness of our sales efforts, improve data integrity, and support / participate in targeted marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customize and manage the CRM system to align with firm-wide processes and client engagement strategies
  • Data integration – Import data from various third-party sources into unified formats within our Zoho CRM
  • Build and optimize CRM workflows, automation rules, validation rules, and dashboards
  • Generate reports and data analytics to uncover trends, sales insights, and campaign opportunities
  • Coordinate third-party CRM integrations (email marketing, client portals, task management, etc.)
  • Execute email marketing campaigns, track analytics, and manage contact segmentation
  • Assist with internal / external content distribution
  • Proactively make outbound sales calls at least 1–2 days per week to investment advisors across Canada, with a focus on lead generation, qualification, and initial relationship development
  • Embrace cold calling as a key part of the role — we are seeking a candidate that enjoys connecting with new advisors and opening doors for the broader sales team
  • Maintain strong product knowledge of Caldwell’s investment strategies to effectively position offerings during outreach
  • Respond to advisor inquiries and follow up with appropriate marketing or fund materials as needed
  • Collaborate on targeted marketing campaigns and outreach strategies with the broader sales and marketing teams
  • Accurately log call notes, meeting details, and advisor interactions in our Zoho CRM in a timely manner
Qualifications & Experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in a CRM development and management role, preferably within financial services
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and sales abilities
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Extensive experience with CRM platforms (Zoho preferred), marketing automation tools, and data reporting
  • Demonstrated ability (or strong understanding) in designing and maintaining custom CRM dashboards that integrate data from multiple systems (e.g., Zoho CRM, Microsoft 365, third-party fund operations platforms like CIBC Mellon, and marketing tools such as Zoho Campaigns)
  • Ability to scope technical requirements, identify integration methods (e.g., APIs, webhooks, data imports), and proactively address data compatibility, siloing, and security challenges in cross-platform environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and WordPress
  • Strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders
  • Experience with SQL for managing large datasets and Python or R for CRM data manipulation, analysis, and reporting
  • Familiarity with web scraping tools (e.g., Selenium) and anti-bot systems (e.g., 2Captcha, Capsolver) to enrich CRM and market intelligence
  • Experience with data orchestration tools such as Airflow or Luigi to automate and schedule recurring data pipelines or workflows
What We Offer
  • A comprehensive total rewards program including competitive base pay, bonus opportunities and group benefits
  • Compensation that varies based on skills and demonstrated experience of the applicant
  • A progressive and high-performing team environment
