Our Trading & Compliance systems handles many thousands of orders per day in more than 70 countries around the world. We are excited to expand to Toronto to better support our growing 24‑hour business. We are looking for a senior developer with technical development experience and solid business knowledge of asset management functions, portfolio management, multi‑asset trading in Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, credit default securities, etc. within the Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS). Our offices currently operate on a hybrid model with a combination of in‑office and remote working days throughout the week.

What You Will Do
  • Work with Traders/Portfolio Managers on addressing Manager Workbench setup, enhancements, and issues in response to functionalities like modelling, rebalancing, etc.
  • Work with Traders/Portfolio Managers on addressing Blotter and trade workflow setup, enhancements, and issues.
  • Work with Portfolio Compliance to assist with pre‑ and post‑trade compliance testing, AS OF compliance setup and enhancement requests.
  • Create, modify different types of CRIMS workflow rules, instrument defaults, user setup, privileging, import/export translations.
  • Helping with CRIMS Batch Imports, Data validation, Security set up, Workflow rules, Custom solutions, Queries, Result sets.
  • Create custom trade files for custodians, third parties and valuation groups leveraging CRIMS
  • Co‑ordinate with various Information Systems teams including onshore staff, Charles River Development and raise support tickets.
  • Perform issue resolution, root cause analysis, and assist in efficient resolution of all production processes.
  • Help with unit and systems integration testing of CRIMS version and patch upgrades.
  • Provide high‑touch on‑call support to critical issues and production releases.
  • Take ownership and initiative ensuring accuracy and quality in all deliverables.
  • Write and help improve technical documentation for all systems processes.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
  • 8+ years of experience in technology.
  • 3+ years of Charles River platform experience is required with version 20R1 or higher.
  • 3+ years of knowledge in trading and trade booking lifecycle.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with solid technical background are essential as is the ability to multi‑task in a high‑paced work environment.
  • Ability to work with remote teams spread across different geographies and time zones.
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience with development in the C#.NET tech stack
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in Charles River front‑office support interacting with traders, portfolio managers, back‑office, and trade operations personnel daily to help troubleshoot issues throughout the entire life cycle of orders.
    • Understanding and use of design patterns in programming
    • Understanding of SOLID principles of object‑oriented design
    • Have a mentorship mindset, to coach and guide fellow team members
    • Work well in both collaborative and individual contributor scenarios.
    • Hands‑on knowledge of Azure architecture and development is preferred.

Salary range for this position is $140,000–$180,000. The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. In addition, there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation for this position. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process.
