Overview

Corporate Finance Specialist role at BroadGrain Commodities Inc. is based in Toronto within the Finance Department, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. BroadGrain is a fast-growing global company that trades and transports grains, cereals, oilseeds, pulses, specialty crops and by-products. We use our expertise in logistics, sourcing and distribution to connect customers to global markets with a focus on customer service. BroadGrain handles over two million tons of agricultural commodities each year and more than $700 million in annual revenue. We are positioned for continual growth across all business units and seek talented individuals to support our expansion.

This position is based in Toronto and will support the increasing functionality demands within our Finance Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various finance activities including :

Responsibilities
  • Financing: manage structured trade transactional financing, assist with management of corporate credit facilities (reporting, amendments, renewals), assist with raising new financing in support of expansion projects.
  • Corporate finance: business forecasting and financial modelling, financial and business analysis of capital projects, and modelling and building out business case for new investment opportunities and major strategic projects.
  • General: work with CFO and other team members on various special projects in support of the continued growth of the company.
Qualifications
  • 5 – 10 years advanced finance experience, including model building
  • Experience in structured commodity finance
  • Compelling analytical-thinking and problem solving skills
  • Solid written and oral presentation skills
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word aptitude
  • Ability to work independently, meet changing priorities in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to comfortably interact with all levels within the organization and with external parties
  • University degree in finance or related discipline
