Overview
As a Service Center Technician at Husqvarna Construction in Mississauga, ONT, Canada, you are responsible for supporting Husqvarna customers and the sales organization in providing routine, non-routine, and highly advanced hands-on support for the customers by evaluating, diagnosing, and repairing equipment. This position is an integral part of reporting design, reliability, and maintenance problems through appropriate channels. This position helps ensure our competitive advantage and is critical to the company by providing the highest level of customer service through hands-on technical service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities
Troubleshooting and Repair of Equipment for Customer Products (80%)
- Responsible for assisting with the physical unloading and moving of customer equipment
- Responsible for evaluating and diagnosing equipment for warranty and non-warranty repair in order to determine the most effective and economical repair solution
- Responsible for performing preventive maintenance and mechanical/electrical/hydraulic repairs as determined during evaluation and diagnosis
- Responsible for going on service calls to customer location as needed
Customer Support/Administrative (20%)
- Assist with documentation of receipt of equipment in the Service Center
- Responsible for completing documentation on final repair and service of equipment
- May be responsible for creating and completing sales order/invoicing process as needed
- Delivery and pick up of rental machines and parts at customer locations as needed
- Handle in-person inquiries from customers as needed
- Assist with regular maintenance of the Service Center to provide a clean, orderly, and safe work environment; including packing and shipping of spare parts and equipment
- Cleaning and prepping of new machines, demo machines returning from field, and returned rental machines

- Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and follow electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Proven record of complying with safety requirements
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4 years’ previous technical experience
Working Conditions
- Working majority of time in service center environment, occasionally in the field
- Frequent computer application use in Microsoft Office and company-specific systems
- Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds/22.68 kilograms
- Frequent use of hands and fingers, handling or feeling objects, tools or controls, and reaching with hands and arms
- Frequent use of close and peripheral vision, depth perception, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Occasional overnight travel required
