A multi-disciplinary engineering firm in Montreal is seeking an experienced Construction Manager (FIFO) to oversee on-site execution for a major capital project in the mining sector. The ideal candidate has over 15 years in construction, with significant leadership experience in heavy industrial projects. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage contractors effectively while ensuring safety and adherence to quality standards.
Our client is a multi-disciplinary engineering and project delivery firm supporting large-scale industrial developments across North America. They’re seeking a Construction Manager (FIFO) to lead on-site execution for a major capital project with a global aluminum producer.
Industry: Mining / Heavy Industrial
Rotation: 3 weeks on-site, 1 week off
Location: Baie-Comeau, Quebec
Language: English & French required
The Construction Manager oversees all field construction activities — ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This includes managing contractors, coordinating with engineering and project teams, and driving accountability across all construction phases from design through to commissioning and turnover. You’ll support both the planning (FEL3) and execution phases — from constructability reviews and contractor selection to full on-site delivery, commissioning, and project closeout.
