Le candidat retenu participera à la conception électrique du matériel de produits, d'équipements et d'installations nouveaux ou révisés, en utilisant des processus fondés sur des principes d'ingénierie établis pour répondre aux exigences des clients.

Vous participez dans des conceptions de complexité modérée.

Responsibilities / Responsabilités principales

Principales responsabilités:

• Vous devez être capable de participer à la conception de produits, d'équipements et d'installations nouveaux ou révisés, en utilisant des processus basés sur des principes d'ingénierie établis pour répondre aux exigences des clients et des chemins de fer.
• Travailler en harmonie dans un environnement d'équipe tout en maintenant un degré de professionnalisme dans le travail et dans les relations avec les autres.
• Aider les membres juniors de l'équipe du département à développer leur talent en leur apportant une assistance, le cas échéant.
• Capacité à présenter efficacement les avantages et les désavantages de différentes lignes d'action
• Suivre l'état d'avancement de toutes les tâches assignées
• Vérifier que tous les travaux assignés ont été réalisés avec précision.
• Voyage occasionnel peut être nécessaire pour se rendre sur les sites des clients, jusqu'à trois fois par an.

Responsibilities (English)

• Must be able to assist in the design of new or revised products, equipment, and installations, utilizing processes based on established engineering principles to meet the customer and Railway requirements
• Responsible for working harmoniously in a team environment while maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the job and in relations with others
• Developing junior team members of the department by providing assistance, as required
• The ability to effectively present pros and cons for various courses of action
• Keeping track of progress on all assigned tasks
• Verifying that all assigned work has been completed accurately
• Occasional travel may be required to customer sites, up to three times per year

Qualifications / Compétences requises

Compétences et expérience requises:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of diplomas and work experience
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in the electrical engineering industry: Cabling; Grounding techniques and Surge Protection
• Electrical Engineering Principles: Power circuits design; Electronic circuits including Microprocessors and Telecommunications circuits
• Engineering tools: CAD system (AutoCAD); Multi-meter; Oscilloscope and Protocol Analyzers
• Professional verbal skills to allow clear communication without ambiguity
• Effective writing skills to allow documents, work packages, etc. to be prepared in a clear and concise format with sufficient information so that further clarification is not required
• The ability to follow directions and work instructions, and to use good judgement in the performance of assigned work

Qualifications – Compétences souhaitées

• Over 10 years of experience in the Railway Signalling industry
• Experience formulating or contributing to the development of new designs
• Devising and running tests to verify functionality, and identifying and solving problems
• Experience reviewing any applicable specifications, standards, rules, etc. and ensuring that the appropriate actions resulting from this review have been taken
• Implementing designs using good design practice and applicable standards and guidelines
• Proficiency with the skills and current technology of the discipline
• Making efficient re-use of existing designs
• Professional Engineer's License (P.Eng.)
