Mecaer specializes in landing gear systems for helicopters and small aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate landing gear components, assemblies, and systems to meet customer requirements.
• Produce engineering drawings, datasets, and documents to support production design.
• Identify component key characteristics.
• Issue weight reports and calculate components' weight, moment of inertia, center of gravity, etc.
• Administer computer-assisted design (CAD) systems and datasets.
• Help define test articles, test requirements, and criteria for internal development and qualification testing.
• Perform other duties as required.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in the aerospace industry.
• Experience with Catia V5.

Additional Skills and Qualifications

• Experience with aero parts, landing gear, BOM, brakes, actuators, axle, mechanism, suspension, shock absorbers, transmission, flaps, aircraft, helicopter, braking systems, hydraulics, gearbox.
• Nice to have landing gear experience.

Work Environment

The company consists of 100 people, with 28 in the engineering team. The design team has 5 members, and you will be the 6th to join them. It is an open‑pit and family‑oriented environment, with a strong team ethos. Helping colleagues with tasks outside your immediate responsibilities is encouraged, reflecting the company culture.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Laval, QC.
