Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required, plus graduation from an Alberta government recognized Health Care Aide program.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English is required.
  • Must be physically capable of managing the frequent lifting, transferring, and repositioning of clients.
  • Active and current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory required.
  • Related experience in a health care facility is an asset.
  • Program specific training/experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Observe, monitor, and report on client status/condition including changes in physical and emotional status.
  • Deliver prescribed medications accurately as per policy and procedure.
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times.
