A local government organization is seeking a Co-Op Student in Transit Facilities Planning for a temporary role that involves conducting facility surveys and inspections, working on engineering projects, and collaborating with teams to gather data. Ideal candidates are in their 1st or 2nd year of relevant engineering studies and have excellent communication skills. This position is based in Mississauga and requires on-site work five days a week.

To be considered for this competition you must be enrolled in a registered co-op program at a Canadian post-secondary institution, and eligible for a Work Term during the specified period. Students must upload proof of enrolment in a co-op program when completing your application.
The Transit Facilities Planning team requires one co-op student to conduct facility (e.g., garages, stations/terminals, operator washrooms) surveys/inspections, record information in databases and analyze results, review pertinent drawings as related to MiWay’s infrastructure standards/specifications, review construction site processes, perform site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and provide internal and external communications for areas of impact.
