Job description

The successful candidate is an experienced cloud architect with demonstrated experience in designing, building, hosting and managing highly scalable, secure applications in the cloud as well as planning, provisioning and migrating legacy enterprise systems to the cloud. He / she is comfortable in handling end-to-end delivery of various cloud projects using best-of-breed methodologies; juggling competing priorities; preparing and presenting client needs and gap analyses; helping with pre-sales activities; and building comprehensive DevOps procedures. Beyond technical responsibilities, we are looking for someone who is client-facing, goal-oriented, creative, curious, intellectually-driven, practical, purposeful, an eager and independent learner, and willing to take on new challenges and grow both technically and personally.

REQUIREMENTS

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
• Kubernetes and Docker
• Strong understand of CI / CD tools such as Jenkins and Spinnaker
• Experience or strong familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Datadog, Dynatrace, and other CNCF tools
• Distributed tracing experience with tools like Jaeger
• Log streaming experience with logstash, fluentbit to Elastic / Kibana and datadog
• Experience with Rancher, RH Openshift is a benefit
• Experience with AWS services like EC2, Aurora, RDS PostgreSQL, Networking, VPCs, Security Groups, Load Balancers, and S3
• Experience working with MySQL, PostgreSQL and AWS Aurora
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Demonstrable experience presenting technology topics and ideas to technology stakeholders or in public forums
• Team player with good communication and written skills, being able to conduct discussions across multiple teams and levels of seniority
• Ability to creatively problem-solve, and to thrive in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment

DUTIES

As an architect, focus on Site Reliability Engineering principles to design, drive and develop tools, automation, CI / CD pipeline to operationalize client systems

Migrate client systems to public, private or hybrid cloud environments

Transform client legacy technology stack to allow to be more cloud native

Participate in evaluating new technologies to solve business challenges in deliver a world class cloud native technology solutions

Conduct root cause analysis with the cross functional teams after service disruptions to look for opportunities to improve, be proactive and prevent future disruptions.

Participate in designing migration solutions to take legacy BMC customers to cloud native solutions with zero to minimal impact and speed.

Automate delivery of infrastructure as a service
