Summary

We are seeking a dedicated HSE Administrator to join our Health, Safety, and Environment team in Vancouver. Reporting to the HSE Director, the HSE Administrator is responsible for compiling, tracking, and reporting on internal and external safety programs to ensure regulatory and project compliance. The role includes collecting and analyzing illness and injury data and preparing reports across all project levels. The HSE Administrator will also support the Environmental Department with noise management and other environmental programs as required.

Responsibilities
  • Total Incident Count (TIC) Inspection Observations – Compile and input of TIC observations; status reporting as determined by project requirements.
  • Internal Inspection Observations – Oversight of internal inspection observations and reporting as determined by project requirements.
  • Safety Incident Records – Input injury incidents in online database; ensure investigations are completed when required and documented in database; input action plans from investigations and report on status as determined by project requirements.
  • Emergency Drills – Monitor drill calendar, provide updates on noncompliance.
  • JHSC Committee – Participate in monthly meetings, keep minutes; distribute required documentation to members of JHSC as directed by Safety Manager/Director.
  • Safety Documentation – Work with safety manager to maintain Procore safety documentation; maintain logs of SWPs, Confined Space Assessments.
  • Environment – Assist environmental manager with various programs including noise management.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of administrative experience.
  • Prior experience in Health & Safety or within a construction environment is an asset.
  • Proven ability to maintain detailed, accurate health and safety records.
  • Demonstrates a high level of personal and professional integrity.
  • Open, approachable team player with a positive, collaborative attitude.
  • Strong communication, organizational, time management, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations, policies, guidelines, and standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage others on health and safety matters.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other computer applications required to perform the role effectively.
