Job description
Overview

Are you a registered Clinical Pharmacist with a real passion for helping others? Join our Pharmacy department to bring your knowledge, skills and abilities to a dynamic environment.

In accordance with the organization’s vision and values, this position provides pharmacy services to patients in Northern Health. As a member of an interprofessional team, the pharmacist assesses and recommends individualized treatments, serves as the primary resource for drug information, education and expert advice to health care professionals, and monitors drug prescribing, distribution and therapy to ensure safe, effective, rational, legal and economic use of drugs. Maintains workload records and statistics.

Shift Rotation / Hours

Tuesday to Saturday, Days – 07:00 to 15:00, 08:00 to 16:00, 10:00 to 18:00. Rotation will include some statistics work (approximately 2 per year).

About University Hospital Of Northern BC (UHNBC)

UHNBC is the largest acute care facility within the Northern Health Region and a hub for specialized health services. It is also a teaching hospital.

  • Provides undergraduate physician training through the Northern Medical Program, run by the University of British Columbia and University of Northern British Columbia
  • Hosts residents in UBC’s Family Practice Residency Program
  • Is a key clinical education site for nursing and many health sciences students at UNBC, the College of New Caledonia, BCIT and other institutions
