Job Description
  • Completing local deliveries within Fort St. John and surrounding areas promptly and efficiently.
  • Operating and maintaining the assigned delivery vehicle safely and responsibly.
  • Conducting pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Loading and unloading cargo using appropriate equipment and following proper handling procedures.
  • Securing cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
  • Use ELD for hours of service.
  • Use a handheld to track deliveries, pick‑ups, and any exceptions.
  • Adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
  • Providing excellent customer service, including communicating effectively with clients during pickups and deliveries.
  • Managing time efficiently to meet delivery schedules and deadlines.
  • Reporting any accidents, injuries, or vehicle issues promptly to management.
  • Assisting with route planning and optimization when necessary.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior.

A normal work week will be Monday to Friday from 0700 to 1700. Flexibility will occasionally be required to accommodate urgent deliveries or seasonal demands.

Qualifications
  • Class 5 or 3 license with air brake endorsement.
  • 1 year of commercial driving experience.
  • Physically fit, able to repeatedly lift 50LBS.
  • Reliable and dependable.
  • TDG, WHMIS, and Forklift experience are assets.
  • Must be able to provide a criminal record check, driver’s abstract, and 2 work‑related references.
