A local culinary team in Ottawa is looking for an experienced full-time baker / prep cook. Responsibilities include daily preparation for catering events and producing a variety of from-scratch pastries and breads. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of cooking experience and a passion for food in a team-oriented environment. The role offers a professional setting and flexible scheduling.
Our close-knit culinary team is seeking an experienced, energetic, and hospitality-focused full-time baker / prep cook to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will produce a variety of sweet and savoury from-scratch pastries and breads for our catering operation. Some experience in savoury cooking will be beneficial, as this role will support all aspects of production, as required. Our production kitchen is located on Industrial Ave. near St. Laurent Blvd. Applicants must have reliable transportation to the kitchen, and be available to work afternoons and evenings. Parking is provided on-site.
Standard shifts are 8am-4pm, however availability for earlier and later shifts when events dictate it are required.
