A leading Canadian university is seeking a Canada Research Chair in Immune Dysregulation. The successful candidate will have a tenured position with protected research time, teach graduate students, and lead an independent research program. Canada Research Chair Tier 1 in Immune Dysregulation – Associate Professor or Professor – Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Infectious Diseases, Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary.
The Chair provides 75 % protected time for research, is tenured, and offers a Canada Research Chair (CRC) tenure of seven years, renewable once. The successful candidate will be nominated for a Tier I CRC.
Emerging or recognized leader in immunology with mechanistic expertise in clinical or experimental systems of immune dysregulation. Areas of potential focus include autoimmunity (type 1 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, lupus, multiple sclerosis, inflammatory bowel disease), allergy, or microbiome‑immune interactions. Novel systems or computational methods for holistic immune understanding are an asset.
