Position title: Bilingual Cashier (French and English) – French/English bilingual required

Lulu's Pasta Bar is seeking a bilingual cashier to join our team. The cashier will handle customer transactions, provide excellent customer service, and ensure the efficiency of point-of-sale operations. This role is ideal for a meticulous, friendly person who is fluent in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Customer service: warmly greet customers, assist with menu choices, provide detailed information on dishes and specials, and respond to questions in French and English.
• Cash handling: operate the cash register and other point-of-sale equipment; process cash, credit, and mobile payments; issue receipts, handle refunds, and give correct change.
• Order management and expediting: take and relay customer orders to the kitchen and assist with take-out and delivery orders to ensure accurate and efficient processing.
• Cleanliness and upkeep: keep the checkout area clean and organized; ensure the counter and dining areas are clean and presentable.
• Inventory and supplies: monitor and restock items such as napkins, utensils, and condiments; report low stock levels to the manager.
• Team collaboration: work closely with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure efficient service; communicate customer feedback or issues to the manager promptly.
• Compliance and safety: follow all company policies and procedures related to transactions and cash handling; safeguard cash, cardholder data, and customer information.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred.
• Fluent in French and English.
