C&A Group is actively recruiting Design Engineering Technologists to join our rapidly expanding and dynamic team of Design Engineering professionals in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.

Salary: $65,000-$80,000 depending on experience.

Design Technologists – Duties
  • Develop preliminary designs with the project management and design team.
  • Measure and document as-built site conditions.
  • Communicate designs to stakeholders through meetings and technical drawings.
  • Detail the designs in 3D CAD (Solidworks) and select OEM equipment to integrate with designs.
  • Drafting of parts and assemblies for fabrication.
  • Facilitate release of fabrication drawings to project management and shop operations.
  • Coordinate small and large aspects of projects.
  • Manage schedule to ensure jobs are completed on time.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Diploma in Engineering Technology or Equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of industry experience
  • Must have experience with 3D CAD software – Solidworks preferred
  • Understanding of manufacturing process systems and construction principles
  • Passion for learning, self-improvement, teamwork, and team development
  • Knowledge of steel fabrication, machine shop processes and mechanical system expertise (conveyors, processing equipment, etc.).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
