Overview

The Business Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in bridging business needs with data-driven solutions. In the insurance domain, this role focuses on analyzing claims, underwriting, policy data, and customer behavior to support strategic decisions and operational improvements. In addition, this role also needs an assocaite who can play role of QA Analyst who ensures the integrity and reliability of insurance applications and data systems. This role involves designing and executing test strategies to validate business processes and system functionalities. Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and interpret complex datasets related to insurance claims, policies, and customer profiles.
  • Conduct data profiling, cleansing, and validation using tools like Analytics, SQL, and Azure DevOps.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to visualize trends and support decision-making.
  • Support data governance initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including underwriters, actuaries, and claims processors to improve data quality and usability.
  • Lead the development of test strategies, test environments, and test data for insurance platforms.
  • Oversee integration, system, regression, load, and UAT testing phases.
  • Implement quality assurance standards and best practices tailored to insurance workflows.
  • Maintain traceability matrices and ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Document and communicate test discrepancies and coordinate resolution with development teams.
  • Support production change management and release cycles.
